India has offered a 20-million dollar line of credit to Burma to upgrade its oil and natural gas refineries.
India's Oil Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar made the offer in Rangoon at a meeting with Burma's Prime Minister Soe Win Tuesday.
The Indian official is in Rangoon for two days of talks with his Burmese and Bangladeshi counterparts on exploring the possibility of a gas pipeline from Burma to India. The talks are to end Thursday.
India is looking for more fuel as demands soar with rapid economic growth.
