ကာရေဗီယံ ဒေသတလျှောက် ဝင်ရောက်တိုက်ခတ်နေတဲ့ ပြင်းအား အဆင့် ၄ ရှိတဲ့ ဟာရီကိန်းမုန်တိုင်း Matthew တနင်္လာနေ့က Jamaica နဲ့ Haiti နိုင်ငံတွေကို ဖြတ်သန်း ဝင်ရောက်ခဲ့တာမှာတော့ လေပြင်းမုန်တိုင်းနဲ့အတူ လမ်းမတွေ ရေလျှံခဲ့ပြီး လူတွေ အများအပြား အရေးပေါ် ခိုလုံရေးစခန်းတွေမှာ ခိုလုံခဲ့ကြရပါတယ်။

ဟေတီနိုင်ငံမှာ သေဆုံးသူ ၂ ယောက် ရှိပြီး ဒေသတဝှမ်း မုန်တိုင်းကြောင့် သေဆုံးသူ စုစုပေါင်း ကတော့ ၄ ယောက်ထက်မနည်း ရှိပါတယ်။ ဟေတီနိုင်ငံရဲ့ ဆင်းရဲနွမ်းပါးတဲ့ အနောက်တောင် ကမ်းရိုးတန်းတလျှောက်မှာ အင်္ဂါနေ့ မနက်ပိုင်း အထိ မုန်တိုင်းဒဏ်ကို ခံခဲ့ရတာပါ။ လေတိုက်နှုန်း တနာရီ ကီလာမီတာ ၂၃၀ နှုန်း ရှိခဲ့ပြီး မိုးအပြင်းအထန် ရွာသွန်းတာကြောင့် တနင်္လာနေ့ ညပိုင်းမှာပဲ Grand Sud ဒေသက လူပေါင်း ၂၀၀၀ ကို ဘေးလွတ်ရာ ရွှေ့ပြောင်းပေးခဲ့ရပါတယ်။

သူတို့နေထိုင်တဲ့ နေရာတွေဟာ အန္တရာယ် ရှိတဲ့၊ ခွင့်ပြုချက်မရှိဘဲ ဆောက်ထားတဲ့ ကျူးကျော်ရပ်ကွက်တွေ ဖြစ်တာကြောင့် အဲဒီနေရာက ဒေသခံ တစ်သိန်းကနေ ငါး သိန်းကြားဟာ ရေဘေး အကြီးအကျယ်ကျရောက်နိုင်တဲ့ အခြေအနေမှာ ရှိနေပါတယ်။ Matthew ဟာရီကိန်းမုန်တိုင်းကြောင့် လူနေထူထပ်တဲ့ ဒေသတွေမှာ မိုးရေချိန် ၄၀ လက်မအထိ ရွာသွန်းနိုင်ပြီး ရွှံ့မြေပြိုကျမှုတွေနဲ့ ရေကြီးရေလျှံမှုတွေ အဖြစ်များနိုင်တယ်လို့ မိုးလေဝသ ပညာရှင်တွေက ခန့်မှန်းထားပါတယ်။

မုန်တိုင်းဟာ ဒီကနေ့မှာ ဟေတီ အနောက်တောင်ဖျားကနေ ကျူးဘားနိုင်ငံ အရှေ့ပိုင်းကို ဦးတည် ဗဟိုပြုသွားနေတဲ့ အကြောင်း အမေရိကန် နိုင်ငံတော် ဟာရီကိန်းစင်တာက ပြောပါတယ်။ ဂျမေကာ နိုင်ငံမှာလည်း မုန်တိုင်းကြောင့် လူ တစ်သိန်းခွဲလောက် အိုးအိမ်မဲ့နိုင်တဲ့ အခြေအနေမှာ ကြုံနေရပါတယ်။
