U.S. stock prices were mixed on Monday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell four points to close at 10,937. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up three points to finish at 1,225.
The NASDAQ was up 20 points to close (almost one percent) at 2,090.
European markets closed mixed. London's Financial Times index fell nine points to settle at 5,027, while the CAC-40 in Paris gained 16 points to finish at 4,108. The DAX index in Frankfurt rose five points to end at 4,428.
The price of gold in New York rose 10 cents, trading at 434 dollars and 40 cents an ounce.
In New York, the dollar traded higher against the euro and yen.
