Japan Donates Nearly $11 Million to Burma

Japan has donated $10.8 million dollars to Burma to promote business and human resource development projects.

Officials say the grant includes money for the construction of the Burma-Japan Center for Human Resources Development in Rangoon.

The center will provide business training courses, cultural exchange programs and Japanese language studies. More than seven million dollars of the grant will be used for scholarships for young Burmese officials to study in Japan and forestry projects.
