Millions of people across Britain and Europe paused for a moment of silence today-Thursday to remember the victims of last week's London terrorist bombings.
London came to a virtual halt as vehicles stopped and people gathered in public squares, in line with a request from the government.
Authorities are hunting for co-conspirators who they believe helped four suicide bombers plan the attacks which killed at least 52 people.
Police say one suspect is believed to have masterminded the bombings. They describe him as a British-born man of Pakistani descent who may have links to al-Qaida.
Three of the suspected bombers were also British-born with Pakistani ancestry. British media report the fourth suspect was a Jamaican-born Briton.
Police continue to hold a relative of one of the suspects who was arrested on Tuesday.
