Earthquake Hits Burma's Shan State, No Damage Reported

Reports from Thailand say a moderate earthquake has hit Burma's Shan State, but no damage has been reported.

Thai officials say the epicenter of the 5.7 magnitude quake was in eastern Burma, at least 195 kilometers north of Thailand's Chiang Mai province.

They say the quake was felt in Chiang Mai and surrounding areas.
