Burmese authorities are cleaning up the country's western coast after Cyclone Mala killed two people and injured 21 Saturday.
The International Federation of the Red Cross says 586 homes were damaged in Hlaing Thar Yar township outside Rangoon by Mala's 240 kilometers per hour winds.
Several factories were also damaged and power was knocked out in several areas.
Cyclones are a regular occurrence in the region.
