Journalists Injured in Israeli Airstrike in Gaza

An Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip has hit an armored car belonging to the Reuters News Agency.

According to witnesses, the vehicle was hit in Gaza City late Saturday.

Reuters says the car was clearly marked as a media vehicle with signs on the roof and all sides.

A statement by the news agency says at least two journalists were injured in the blast.

It said one of them, who worked for a local media organization, was seriously injured, while the Reuters cameraman was less seriously hurt.

The Israeli army said it is checking the report.
