Burma's official newspaper said the state owned Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise signed a deal with the British Virgin Island company Rimbunan Petronas and Singapore's UNOG.
The "New Light of Myanmar" reported today the companies will explore, drill and produce oil and natural gas offshore from the town of Mottama.
The paper gave no additional details about the deal.
Late last month, South Korean company Daewoo International secured exploration rights to a gas field off the coast of Burma.
