Moderate Earthquake Hits Burma, No Injuries, Damage

Geologists say a moderate earthquake has rattled central Burma.

No injuries or damage have been reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the five-point-seven magnitude earthquake hit Burma early this morning.

The epicenter was about 300 kilometers north of Rangoon.

Burma is hit occasionally by earthquakes. Last month, Chinese state media said a moderate earthquake in neighboring Burma had forced thousands of villagers to evacuate their homes in southwest China.
