Burma's military junta has arrested two politicians allied to detained democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
Kyaw Hsan of the National League for Democracy (NLD) and Kyaw Min, who sits on the Committee Representing the People's Parliament, a loose alliance that includes Aung San Suu Kyi, were picked up at their Rangoon homes on Thursday.
An NLD official, who did not want to be named, said Friday that he did not know the reason for the arrest of Kyaw Hsan, a 73-year-old retired lieutenant colonel who has been detained several times in the past.
Kyaw Min's relatives said they also did not know the reason for his arrest or his whereabouts.
