Burma's military government is reportedly planning to increase the pay of civil servants to up to three times their current salaries.
Military personnel are expected to earn a bit more than other state employees.
The increase has not been officially announced, but news agencies said government workers had seen directives ordering the change effective April first.
Many civil servants are among the lowest-paid workers in Burma.
