A small bomb exploded in a hotel room in Burma's capital of Rangoon early today but nobody was injured.
Sources in Rangoon say the blast occurred in a guest room's bathroom in the Panorama Hotel.
No group has claimed responsibility.
Saturday's blast came amid heightened security as the junta prepares for the 60th anniversary of Armed Forces day on March 27th.
Soldiers and police have been stationed around Rangoon, including at major street intersections. Security has been particularly heavy in Resistance Park, where a military parade will be staged.
