U.S. markets opened higher Monday on easing oil prices.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 19 points at 10,211.
The S&P 500 is two points higher at 1,159, and the Nasdaq is up six points at 1,928. European share prices are up in midday trading.
The CAC-40 in Paris is 25 points higher at 3,937, and the DAX index in Frankfurt is up 44 points (just over 1 percent) at 4,229.
London markets are closed for the May Day holiday. They will reopen Tuesday.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange's Nikkei Average slipped seven points today, closing at 11,002 before a three-day holiday.
Hong Kong markets were closed today but will reopen on Tuesday.
The dollar is higher in London against the euro and the yen.
