Asian stock markets closed mostly higher Monday.
Tokyo's NIkkei index gained 74 points to finish at 11,266. On Friday, the market gained 164 points.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 130 points to end at 13,845. The Hang Seng rose 145 points on Friday.
In the region's other big market, Singapore, the Straits Times index rose 17 points to close at 2,172.
Elsewhere, share prices were higher in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei and Wellington. The market was lower in Bombay.
In late afternoon Tokyo currency trading, the dollar was selling at 107.92 yen, up 0.08 yen from the same time Friday.
In Hong Kong, the price of gold rose 90 cents to close at $419.55 an ounce.
