A suicide bomber has killed at least 22 people and wounded 25 others at a police station in Baghdad.
Iraqi authorities say the bomber detonated a flatbed truck with 220 kilograms of explosives, incinerating at least 20 nearby vehicles and damaging shops. It was the deadliest attack in Iraq since a July 16th suicide bomber killed nearly 100 people.
Elsewhere in the capital, a mortar attack killed three people near the Interior Ministry and two policemen were killed in separate attacks. South of Baghdad, a roadside bomb killed a young girl.
To the north, in Kirkuk, gunmen killed a police officer, an Iraqi national guardsman, and a civilian.
