A South Korean company says it has discovered a large deposit of natural gas in northern Burma.
The company, Daewoo International, said Thursday the reserve covers an area that is nearly seven-thousand square kilometers.
Daewoo has rights to 60% of the gas reserves. In December, the company said it discovered a gas field in Burma that holds around three trillion cubic feet of reserves.
The company has been exploring oil fields in northern Burma since it won the rights in 2004.
