Malaysia's foreign minister says he will meet with any officials or groups the military government of Burma allows him to see during his expected trip there later this month.
Meeting with reporters in Malaysia Saturday, Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar said he still does not know the agenda for his meetings in Burma. But he said he hopes to meet with top leaders and others.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations appointed Hamid last year as a special envoy to visit Burma. Burma agreed to the visit, and a January date was set, but then Rangoon postponed it.
Hamid said no new date has been set yet, but that he expects the trip will happen in the next couple of weeks.
