Members of the 88 Generation Student Group began what they call the Open Heart Campaign on Burma's Independence Day, January 4th.
The group is asking the public to "open their hearts" about their dissatisfaction with life in the country which is under military rule.
The activist group planned to end the campaign one month after it began, but now say it will continue it due to its popularity with the Burmese people.
