Asian stock markets closed lower today (Thursday).
Tokyo's Nikkei index lost 102 points to finish at 11,865. The average gained 80 points on Wednesday.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index lost 85 points to end at 13,856. The Hang Seng rose 60 points on Wednesday.
In the region's other big market, Singapore, the Straits Times index lost 14 points to close at 2,170.
Elsewhere share prices were lower in Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei and Wellington, The market was higher in Bombay.
In late afternoon currency trading, the dollar in Tokyo was selling at 103.88 yen, down 0.74 yen from the same time Wednesday.
In Hong Kong, the price of gold rose one dollar, 60 cents to close at 441 dollars, 85 cents an ounce.
